About

Dr. Jessica Macho graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University in 2002 after completing her undergraduate degree from the University of Vermont. She began her veterinary career in equine ambulatory practices in Rhode Island and Vermont. Dr. Macho then transitioned into small animal practice in southern New England. She has also been teaching veterinary assisting students at a community college in Massachusetts for the past four years to help inspire a new generation in the veterinary world.

After looking for more ways to help her patients over the years, Dr. Macho pursued acupuncture training through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society in 2012 and 2013.  She then found encouragement among other practitioners to add chiropractic training to complement the acupuncture treatments.  She then spent the summer of 2021 studying at Options for Animals Chiropractic College.  With a renewed perspective and excitement, she went to Florida in January 2022 to study Advanced Equine Acupuncture and Veterinary Medical Manipulation at the Chi Institute.

Dr. Macho is happy to be able to help both large and small animal patients in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.  She also sees small animal patients weekly at Uxbridge Animal Hospital in Uxbridge, MA; she will work with your primary veterinarian to ensure comprehensive care for your entire horse or companion animal.
